Product and Content creation made easy!

When you start your online business whether creating your own products or consulting to business, there are quite a few different ways to make products and either sell them or give them away for a name and email.

Here are different products you can create:

offline-riches-150Ebooks – these are usually delivered in pdf  format and a great program to make them with is either word and then use a free pdf creator. I personally use Open Office as it lets me create the PDF from within the program and parses the links inside your ebook a lot better.

It is also good to make a small graphic to make the book look more professional and this can be done easily and we show you in the coaching.

Within your ebook you can have links to your products and services, videos and pretty well anything you think would be of benefit to your reader.

Reports – are shorter forms of ebooks and tend to concentrate on just one topic. They are produced exactly the same. Your ebook may be on Website marketing but your report would be just on keyword research.

Audios - are quite simple to create and you can use your phone or skype to record the call then convert to a mp3. You can also just record your self talking on a specific topic and also make small online radio programs called poscasts. Another great way to make it unique is to call experts in your industry and ask then some questions. You can also add it as content.

Videos – are a little harder however there are some simple ways to do this. Using programs like Camtasia let you make how to or demonstarting videos. Slideshare allows you to turn simple Powerpoint slides into videos. You can also do the full blown video using a cam corder and compiling.

CD and DVD’s – can be compiled using all the suggestions above.  They can include many forms of content and can be made as web pages and then the disk will open the browser on the users computer. We see this done a lot with computer magazines etc.

Most of these can be produced for relatively low cost and the main thing is to get organized. They can be put together as products or added as content. We go through all these different processes in the club so why not sign up today.

printerIn todays marketplace there are a lot of busineses with websites. Unfortunately they are created by web designers who have very little idea of how to market online.

Set up for Failure.

These web designers come out of magazines, newspapers, tv and radio where people pay thousands for advertising and then they translate this to the Internet. They create beautiful brochures that will never perform to the businesses expectations and charge a small fortune.

How I get lots of work just by talking to business people.

Today my laser cartridge ran out so I jumped on the net and did a search for laser cartridge refiller. Lots of sites but most were not close to me. I added my town and tried again but nothing.  I could not find one so eventually went to the yellow pages and looked in there to find nearly 10 close by.

For a business this is really bad as I now can see all the competitors and pick one at random.

The Conversation

I head over and get my cartidge refilled and after the sale I was heading out the door and  turned to the sales person to ask if he was the owner. He replied he was.

I said hows business and he said slow.

I said you did not ask me how I found you and this started up a discussion. I asked if he had a website and then moved on from there. I gave him a link to evaluate his site and we went through everything that was wrong with it.

That was it I walked out with the job and a cheque for $800 which was half deposit on refurbishing his site.

You see its more about taking an interest in the business than hard selling him a product.

Now thewy are not all this easy but they trend to follow the same format. Take a genuine interest in the owners and their business. You can easily generate $5,000 a week doing this simple method.

Get some mums or students to do some of the work for you and voila great business model.

Get some skills.

New Google Tool for Finding Niches!

One person I suggest you follow is a guy called Matt Cutts who is an high level engineer at Google.

It was just anounced that Google has added some more functionality to their search engine. Here is a video on one of the great features for researching niches and micro niches.

Marissa Mayer, Vice President of Search Products and User Experience said:

Let’s say you are looking for forum discussions about a specific product, but are most interested in ones that have taken place more recently.

That’s not an easy query to formulate, but with Search Options you can search for the product’s name, apply the option to filter out anything but forum sites, and then apply an option to only see results from the past week.

Just last week, at our Shareholders’ Meeting, I had a woman ask me why she couldn’t organize her results by time, with the most recent information appearing first. “Come back Tuesday,” I wanted to say!

The Search Options panel also gives you the ability to view your results in new ways. One view gives you more information about each result, including images as well as text, while others let you explore and iterate your search in different ways.

Over the last few posts we have discussed a number of ways to develop traffic using various forms of content.

Adding specific posts like this that apply to your business not only brings in traffic but also creates a place where visitors return to see what you are offering.

Writing posts should involve a little bit of research to find out what people are looking for in regards to your business.

The key factor here is to using a heading around the keyword you found and then write your content with regards to those keywords and the topic.

Bookmarking your posts.

Once you have written your post it is a good idea to then submit it to a few of the social media sites like Digg, delicious, stumble etc.

Final Thoughts
 
Post often and post relative content. Keep it interesting and add a graphic  to make it more visually appealing. Also the occasional audio or video is great and shows you are doing more than others and also adds some credability.
